Peer review process
All manuscripts submitted to IJMLR undergo a rigorous peer review process to ensure the quality and integrity of published content.
1. Initial Evaluation
Submitted manuscripts are first assessed by the editorial team to ensure they meet the journal’s aims, scope, and formatting requirements.
2. Plagiarism Screening
Manuscripts are checked for originality using plagiarism detection tools.
3. Peer Review
We follow a Double-Blind (Neither authors nor reviewers know each other's identities) Peer Review process:
4. Reviewer Selection
Each manuscript is reviewed by at least two independent experts in the relevant field.
Reviewers are selected based on subject expertise, previous publication record, and absence of conflicts of interest.
The choice of reviewers is at the discretion of the Editorial Board.
The reviewers must be knowledgeable about the subject area of the manuscript.
They must not be from the authors' own institution.
They should not have recent joint publications with any of the authors.
5. Review Criteria
Reviewers evaluate the manuscript based on:
Originality and significance of the research
Methodological rigor
Clarity of presentation
Ethical compliance
Relevance to the journal’s scope
6. Editorial Decision
Based on the reviewers' recommendations, the editor-in-chief makes one of the following decisions:
-

7. Authors are notified of the decision within [4–8 weeks] of submission. Revised manuscripts may be sent for re-review.
8. Members of the editorial team/board/guest editors are permitted to submit their own papers to the journal. In cases where an author is associated with the journal, they will be removed from all editorial tasks for that paper and another member of the team will be assigned responsibility for overseeing peer review.
Confidentiality and Ethics
All submissions and reviews are treated as confidential. Reviewers must disclose any conflicts of interest and are expected to review in an unbiased and constructive manner.
